Big Polish Order (and a Sneak Peek of Mermaid's Tale)

Hubby started the purchasing, but I took the next step.  I just ordered a TON of new nail polish from Etsy and Amazon.  I'll post pics and thoughts as they come in, but I couldn't wait for it to all come in, so I bought one bottle at Target today.  We were getting a birthday present for a party my daughter was attending, so I made a slight detour through the beauty department to buy Mermaid's Tale by Sally Hansen :-)

I LOVE the color.  It has blue and green glitter, and it looks so pretty in the sun.  It took 3 coats to be totally opaque, but it looked pretty good after 2.  Please be patient with me, I've just stopped biting and picking at my nails, so my manicure skills need some improvement.  I'm sure I'll get there with time!

Ok, after seeing that last pic on the screen, I was too embarrassed to leave it like that.  Here's another pic after a rough cleanup job (I need to get better at that too)

My Christmas present (Kate Spade style)!

I'm starting this off with a bang!  I told Hubby about my new project (having a little fun taking care of me again), and he was completely on board.  I think he missed the happy and fun girl too!  So, he bought me a new purse (it's a Kate Spade Wellesley Quinn).  It's pink!  It's also super comfortable to carry, and it's big enough to hold everything I need.  There are 2 pockets that are perfectly sized for business cards or a cell phone, a large zipper section in the middle for anything you need be sure will stay IN the purse.  The two larger, open, sections are even big enough to hold my laptop!

Welcome!

Thanks for visiting me on my new blog!  This is my place to keep track and share the fun of finding my inner girly girl again :-)  Ten years ago (when I was 25), I was a single girl who loved pretty purses, shoes, make up, nail polish, and anything else in that vein.  Now, I'm married with three beautiful girls who I love more than I ever believed possible.  I am SO happy to have them, but I've lost a lot of me.  It's time for that to change!
